Southern Vermont Earns Top Seed in NECC Women's Volleyball Tournament

Southern Vermont College finished the New England Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball season a perfect 8-0 in league play and has earned the top seed in the upcoming NECC Championship. The Mountaineers (29-2 overall, 8-0 NECC) have earned a first round bye and will host the semifinal and final rounds on Friday and Saturday, November 4-5.

Newbury College (14-17, 6-2 NECC) finished second in the league standings and have also earned a first round bye.

Bay Path College (13-10, 5-3 NECC) was awarded the third seed and will host Regis College (9-18, 4-4 NECC) in a first round matchup on Tuesday, November 1. The winner will meet Newbury in a semifinal match Friday at Southern Vermont.

Fifth seed Lesley University (9-15, 4-4 NECC) will travel to fourth seed Daniel Webster 15-8, 5-3 NECC) in the other first round contest. The winner will play host and top seed Southern Vermont on Friday.

First round games will be played on Tuesday, November 1 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at Southern Vermont on Friday, November 4. Semifinal game times for Friday are 6:00 pm and 8:00 p.m. with the championship on Saturday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m.
