No. 1 Lesley will meet No. 2 Elms in NECC Women's Soccer Championship

No. 2 Elms edged out No. 3 New England College, 2-1, in New England Collegiate Conference semifinal action to advance to the 2019 NECC Women's Soccer Championship match.

New England College would strike first, as Emily Wightman punched in the first goal of the game in the 23rd minute.  It took Elms only seven minutes to respond, as Elaina Vilar tied up the score at 1-1, assisted by Kayla Pasquel and Abby Goodnow.

It wouldn't be until the 84th minute of the match that Elms would notch the game-winner, as Morgan Foucault scored on an assist from Alizayah Clark.

The 2019 NECC Goalkeeper of the Year, Rebecca Molin, tallied six saves for Elms in the victory.

On the other side of the bracket, No. 1 Lesley advanced to the Championship game, defeating No. 4 Becker, 2-1.

Alexandria Torres notched both goals for the Lynx. Her first goal came at the 8' mark, assisted by Kerrie Larson.

Becker would tie up the game on a goal by Alana Garofalo to close out the first half. Lesley wouldn't waste much time after halftime, as Torres scored the game-winner six minutes into the second half on an assist from Chloe Kouyoumdjian.

Lynx goalkeeper Brittley Gaan made three saves for the Lynx.

No. 1 Lesley will host No. 2 Elms in the NECC Women's Soccer Championship match on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m.
