WBCA Recognizes Elms in Top Classroom Performance with 2010 Academic Top 25

ATLANTA, Ga., July 20, 2010 - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its winners for the 2009-10 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. This award, given in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College/Community College, awards teams throughout the nation that carry the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the entire season based on the nomination submitted by WBCA-member head coaches.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The #2 seed Lesley University womens basketball never trailed in their 76-46 victory over #4 seed Elms College in the New England Collegiate Conference Championship (NECC) game and in the process won their second consecutive NECC title.

Bosques, OConnell and Jacobs Earn NECC Top Awards ATTLEBORO, Mass. Eight of the nine sponsored programs were represented on 2009-10 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Womens Basketball All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, three separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.

#2 Lesley and #4 Elms Head to the Championship Game hosted in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- & CHICOPEE, Mass.--#4 Elms College upsets #1 Daniel Webster 56-52, while #2 Lesley held off #3 Mitchell 80-58. Due to a power outage and storm damage, the Eagles were unable to host the final four. Lesley will host Elms at 6:00 p.m. in Cambridge on the camous of BB&N.
