Player of the Week
Suzanne Vachon, Mitchell
Vachon batted a team-high .680 (17-25) with two doubles, a triple, nine RBI and 10 runs scored last week to wrap up her collegiate career. She hit safely in all six league games and finished with multiple hits in all but one. She went 4-for-7 with a double, triple and two RBI in a sweep of Dean to start the week. She then went 5-for-9 with four RBI in a split with Bay Path before going 8-for-9 with a double and three RBI in the season finale at Newbury. Vachon slugged .840 for the week and had an on-base percentage of .680.
Pitcher of the Week
Elisabeth Schaffer, Eastern Nazarene
Schaffer has a solid week in the circle for the Lions, posting a 4-0 record with a 0.00 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 27 innings of work. The junior hurled four complete games while only allowing nine hits and two walks on the week. Schaffer posted two double digit strikeout games, first in a 8-0 victory over Elms with 10 followed by 16 in a 1-0 decision over Becker.
Rookie of the Week
Caroline Mahoney, Newbury
In a busy, 10-game week for the Nighthawks, freshman Caroline Mahoney went 16-for-33 at the plate, batting .485, including two doubles, a triple, two home runs, and 12 RBIs. Her game of the week came against Pine Manor on April 24, batting a perfect 6-for-6 with four RBIs and four runs scored.
