#4 Dean Advances to NECC Semifinals With Victory Over #5 Elms

FRANKLIN, Mass.- Jordan Lynch-Rexroth (Harrisburg, Pa.) didn't miss a shot – going a perfect 11-for-11 from the field and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe in helping guide fourth-seeded Dean College to an 89-77 win over Elms College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) tournament quarterfinal men's basketball action on Tuesday evening.

The win for the Bulldogs over the fifth-seeded Blazers is their seventh in a row over their league rival and sets up a semifinal match for Dean with the tournament's top seed, New England College on Thursday evening in Henniker, N.H.

It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Bulldogs, who shot 52 percent from the field and led by as many as 24 points late in the second half.

Ahead 47-34 early in the second half, Dean quickly saw its lead balloon to 56-36 following a traditional three-point play by Lynch-Rexroth and three-pointers from both Kevin Clark (Miami Gardens, Fla.) and Jordan Booker (Waterbury, Conn.).

Lynch-Rexroth was in total control in the final 20 minutes, scoring 18 (8-for-8 field goals) of his career-high 25 points in 17 second half minutes.

After the Dean advantage was cut to 17 with a little more than five minutes remaining, the Bulldogs responded with hoops from Clark and Booker to push the lead to 83-62 with less than four minutes to play.

In addition to his career-high scoring night, Lynch-Rexroth added 11 rebounds. Clark, meanwhile, had 16 points and Booker totaled a game-best 30 points to go along with six rebounds and a career-high 12 assists.

Ahmad Conner led the Blazers with 17 points on 7-for-8 shooting.
