Kareem Davis (Sr., G), Becker College
Senior Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass.) produced his most dominant week of the season as the Hawks season hung in the balance. He averaged 35.0 points per game, with 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals as he led Becker to back-to-back victories. The senior team captain shot 45.7 percent from the floor, 40 percent from behind the arc, and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. In Wednesday’s 85-79 home win over Elms, Davis set a school record for free throws, going 19 of 22 from the line on his way to 32 points with five assists and four steals. Then on Saturday at Newbury, Becker’s all-time leader in scoring poured in 38 points in a 115-92 victory.
Rookie of the Week
Leonard Williams (Fr., G), Mitchell College
Freshman Leonard Williams (Providence, R.I.) averaged 11.5 points per game and shot 63.6 percent from the floor last week for the Mariners, who secured the fourth seed in the upcoming NECC Championship. He finished with eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in Mitchell’s first road win at Southern Vermont since 2013. He then netted a season-high 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting against Dean, while adding four rebounds, three assists and a steal.
