He helped the Mountaineers to a 2-0 week, defeating Lesley 66-58 (OT) and Mitchell 86-74, and clinching the #4 seed and the right to host Lesley in the quarterfinal round. He averaged 19.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks. For the week, Karnik shot 60% (15-for-25) from the field and 69% (9-for-13) from the free-throw line.

Favors pushed his team to defeat Lesley 83-61 and Southern Vermont 87-72. He averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.5 blocks.     ATTLEBORO, Mass.--Wheelock College senior forward Sherard Robbins (Malden, Mass.) sparked the Wildcats to a 2-0 week, defeating Lesley 65-55 and Elms 87-82 in overtime action. Robbins who comes off last week’s 1,000 point milestone nailed two double-double performances including 29 points and 15 rebounds in a barn burner against the Blazers. He averaged 25.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 0.5 steals. For the week, Robbins shot 56% (20-for-36) from the field and 73% (11-for-15) from the free-throw line.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The names of Sarah Brown and Sherard Robbins were etched into the Wheelock record books over the past two weeks, as the two senior basketball stars scored the 1,000th point of their respective careers just three days apart. Robbins reached his mark during a home win against Southern Vermont College, becoming the first men’s basketball player to reach the milestone, while Brown drilled a triple at Becker College to become only the third women’s player to do so.

Leggett put up stellar double doubles in both victories averaging 22.0 points and 10.5 rebounds. He also added 2.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.     ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Becker College junior forward Rajai Leggett (New Haven, Conn.) posted a stellar double-double week averaging 24.7 points and 10.6 rebounds for the Hawks. Leggett helped Becker to a 2-1 week. In a 67-60 win over Coast guard he had 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists. In a tough 82-72 loss against Clark, Leggett hammered 32 points and 13 boards for the Hawks. Finally, in an 86-63 victory over Fitchburg he finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds. For the week, Leggett went 57% (31-for-54) from the field, a sizzling 100% (1-for-1) from behind the arc and 69% (11-for-16) from the free-throw line.

Despite the 2-1 week, the Blazers grabbed two incredible wins earlier in the week including their first-ever victory over 13th ranked Amherst 88-79 and an 84-65 rout of WNEC. Maldonado sparked an impressive run for the Blazers averaging 21.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.6 steals per game. For the week, he went 42% (21-for-50) from the field, a sizzling 55% (15-for-27) from behind the arc and 88% (7-for-8) from the free-throw line.

Trejo helped Lesley to their first win of the season going 1-1 on the week notching a 20-20 game with 20 points and 20 rebounds in a 71-57 victory over Eastern Nazarene. For the week, he averaged 19.5 points, 0.5 assists, steals and blocks along with a 62% (18-for-29) shooting percentage from the field.

Robbins was named the Tournament MVP for his efforts averaging 18.3 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, 1.3 assists per game, 1.0 blocks per game and 2.0 steals per game. Earlier in the week, Robbins tallied a game high 29 points in their season opening victory over Wentworth 79-63. For the week, he shot 52% (27-for-52) from the field and 100% (1-for-1) from the free-throw line.
