NECC Announces Partnership with NFL Alumni Association

Mansfield, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) is proud to announce it has agreed to a partnership with the National Football League Alumni Association (NFLAA). The two entities will work together in promotional efforts specifically with regards to the conference’s recently-announced partnership with ESTV as the league’s official exclusive linear TV provider.

The NECC announced its intention to sponsor esports earlier this year and will officially begin their inaugural season this fall.

The NFL Alumni Association is a non-profit organization composed of former NFL players, coaches, team staff members and associate members who work voluntarily to raise funds for youth-oriented causes and engage in hands-on service to foster the development of "youth through sports and sports through youth."

“We’re very excited to announce this partnership with the NFL Alumni Association,” said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn. “Anytime you can align yourself with a brand such as the NFL in any way, it’s going to be huge. We’re thrilled to work with this new partner for the enhancement of our upcoming esports season.”

The NECC’s partnership with the NFL Alumni Association came about from the conference’s recently-announced partnership with ESTV. ESTV is the exclusive media broadcast partner of the NFLA. The partnership between the NECC and the NFL Alumni Association and ESTV will involve a number of different elements, including celebrity casters, access to different tournaments and challenges, and other vehicles to be announced.

As part of the recently-formed partnership, former NFL players Ahman Green and Brock Vereen broadcasted the NECC’s first-ever Xbox NBA2K Championship.
