Worcester, MA --- Senior outfielder Scott McNee (Falmouth, MA) mashed a three-run homer high over the fence in center in the bottom of the first inning, sparking top-seeded WPI to a 13-8 win over Becker in the ECAC New England Baseball Championship semifinals on Saturday afternoon at Class of 1893 Field. The win gives the Engineers a berth in the championship game at 4pm against the winner of the day's second semifinal matchup between second-seed Worcester State and sixth-seed Fitchburg State.
Castleton, VT - Fifth-seeded Becker College smacked three homeruns and scored the final seven runs of the game to earn an 8-2 win over the fourth seed, Castleton, in the opening round of the ECAC New England Championship.
BENNINGTON, Vt. - In the New England Collegiate Conference Baseball Champaionship Game the Becker College Hawks beat the Elms College Blazers to win the Inaugural Championship 13-5 at Epstein Field. Sophomore Jairo Valdez (Lynn, Mass.) led the Hawks offensively going 5-for-6 and scoring three runs while freshman pitcher Cody Harmes (Strasburg, Pa.) got the complete game win.
BENNINGTON, Vt. - In day two of the New England Collegiate Conference Baseball Playoffs the #2 Elms College Blazers rolled past the #4 Mitchell College Mariners 12-3. #3 Becker College Hawks beat the #1 Southern Vermont College Mountaineers knocking 17 hits in the 11-4 victory at Epstein Field. Elms College Blazers slid past the #1 Southern Vermont College Mountaineers 10-8 advancing to the NECC Championship against the Becker College.

His coach, Daniel Webster College mentor J.P. Pyne, grabbed his shortstop's glove off the bench and handed it to him out in the infield. That's when Pyne first noticed the scribblings on it.
