• Baseball: Mullins Earns First Team All-Conference As College's Final Honoree

Sophomore Dan Mullins of Nashua, N.H. (Nashua South) was named a first-team selection as a catcher. He was the only Eagle selected in the program?s final season.

    The final awards of all-time have been recently announced for the Daniel Webster men?s and women?s lacrosse programs in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), with three student-athletes honored including one with a first (and last) of its kind major award. A pair of Eagle men?s lacrosse players earned first team all-conference awards as goalkeeper James Bushey (Hamden, Conn.) was joined by attackman Tre Mason (Kelowna, B.C.). On the women?s side, senior Madeline Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.) topped her career named as a third-team selection at the attack position.

    College athletics on the Daniel Webster College campus is now no more. While the Daniel Webster baseball program still has three games remaining before closing the history books for good, the final home games at Harvey Woods Field went to visiting Mitchell, as the Mariners posted a NECC sweep with scores of 15-0 and 10-1 in NECC action in raw and drizzly conditions Monday.
  • Softball: Eagles Close The Books For All Time With Losses To Lesley

    The final out came on a called third strike at 4:27 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, and thus, 24 years of Daniel Webster College softball came to a permanent end at Eagle Field as Lesley posted back-to-back 13-0 shutouts of the host Eagles in the regular season finale for both NECC clubs. DWC, which closed its final campaign with an overall record of 5-22 (1-17 NECC), got its final all-time hit appropriately, by its lone senior, Skylar Evans (Cranston, R.I.) who beat out an infield hit to third base with two out in the third inning of game two.

    Host Daniel Webster saw a remarkable 5 for 5 performance from Brad DeLuca (Nashua) who connected for five singles and two RBI but the Eagles fell to Elms, 14-6 in a NECC matchup Sunday at Harvey Wood Field.
  • Men's Lacrosse: Eagles Quest For Title In Final Game Falls Short, 12-6

    Daniel Webster led 2-0 and 3-2 in the first quarter and were tied at 6-6 at the half, but were shutout the rest of the way as host Regis doubled up the Eagles, 12-6 in the NECC Tournament Championship on Saturday, marking the final game for the program.

    The Elms College baseball team swept visiting Daniel Webster College in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) doubleheader at MacKenzie Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Blazers (15-18, 10-6 NECC) delivered a 10-7 comeback victory in the opener, and then held on for a 7-4 win over the Eagles (5-19, 2-11 NECC) in the finale.
