Attleboro, Mass.- The United Soccer Coaches announced their 2017 NCAA Division III All-New England Region Teams on Wednesday, with the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) seeing two student-athletes honored.
Lesley senior Karlie Rubin (San Diego, Calif.) and Becker junior Lindsey Keith (Sutton, Mass.) each earned third-team nods. In her senior campaign, Rubin led the Lynx to an undefeated 8-0 regular season conference record, and helped the Lynx win the 2017 NECC Women’s Soccer Championship. In eight regular season conference matches, she tallied six goals, and four assists, totaling 16 points. Of her six goals, two were game winners. Overall, Rubin tallied 13 goals, six of which were game winners, and seven assists for 33 points. Rubin was named the 2017 NECC Women's Soccer Player of the Year.
In a breakout year, Keith led the NECC in goals with 21, and points with 48. Keith was a First Team All-NECC selection, helping the Hawks to a 5-3-0 regular season record, with 10 goals, three of which were game winners, and an assist. With the No.4 seed in the conference tournament, Becker reached the semifinals.
