Elms Leads Men's Champions Cup Standings; Lesley Leads the Women

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – After the completion of the fall championship season, the Elms College men are leading the Champions Cup standings with a score of .685. The Blazers’ men had a strong fall season, finishing in the runner-up spot in both regular season and tournament play in soccer. They also added a third place finish in golf, and a fourth place finish in cross country.     

On the women’s side, Lesley parlayed the regular season and postseason soccer title into a first place spot in the current Champions Cup standings. The Lynx were also the women’s cross country champions, and the runner-up in both regular season and postseason volleyball play, and finished the fall with a score of .943.  

Landing second in the women’s standings was Elms, with a score of .907. The Blazers were both the regular and postseason champions in volleyball, while also taking the field hockey title. Elms also had a strong showing on the the soccer pitch with a second place finish in postseason play.  

Mitchell is second on the men’s side after capturing their first NECC title in soccer, while Southern Vermont sits in the third spot after capturing their fourth straight NECC cross country title. The Mountaineer women are also in the third spot, with a second place finish in regular season soccer play, and a third place finish in the cross country championship.
