Attleboro, Mass.- New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Commissioner Del Malloy has announced the appointment of Lindsay Colbert as the NECC Assistant Commissioner. "I am excited about the addition of Lindsay to our staff. She brings a multitude of experience which will prove vital as we continue to strategically promote our institutions, our brand and all of the outstanding accomplishments of our student-athletes, both academically and athletically," said Malloy. "Her diverse background and extensive network within intercollegiate athletics bring a new level of energy to the Conference.”

Colbert comes to the NECC after spending the past four years at Emerson College, where she served as the Assistant Athletic Director. During her time at Emerson, Colbert served as site administrator during home contests, where she was responsible for meeting and greeting teams, fans and officials, managing game operations staff and maintaining a positive atmosphere. Colbert also developed and assisted in the implementation of a marketing initiative for the department, including creating the QR code program for on-campus contests. She handled the scheduling of all practice, games and events for Emerson’s two on campus facilities, as well as securing off campus facilities for men’s and women’s tennis and baseball. As the point person for all events held in the gymnasium, Colbert worked closely with on campus departments and vendors to ensure events ran smoothly. Colbert also assisted in the planning of departmental special events, including NCAA Division III Week events. She was the assistant softball coach for the Emerson Lions during the 2013-2015 seasons.
Prior to Emerson, she served as the head softball coach at Lasell College for the 2012-13 season, and led the Massachusetts Maritime Academy program from 2010 to 2012. While at Massachusetts Maritime, Colbert was also the Assistant Sports Information Director.
From 2009-2010, Colbert served as the Leagues and Affiliates Assistant at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). In this role, she was responsible for selecting student-athlete weekly and yearly award winners. She handled communications and public relations for the ECAC’s leagues and affiliates, including writing press releases and maintaining the websites. She spearheaded the social media pages for ECAC Hockey, and assisted with the overall marketing and public relations for the conference.
Raised in Glocester, RI, Colbert received her B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College, and a Masters in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University.
