West Boylston, Mass.- Elms College led the four core NECC competitors at the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Golf Championship, finishing the two-day tournament with a 659, finishing in fourth place. Dean College (684), Mitchell College (686) and Eastern Nazarene rounded out the team scoring in sixth, seventh and ninth place, respectively.
Eastern Nazarene's Michael Deitz paced the individual competitors from the core NECC schools, finishing with a two-round score of 156, good for a tie for eighth place. Deitz was awarded second team All-MASCAC recognition for his efforts.
Springfield College captured the title with a two-day score of 616, winning the championship by six strokes. Westfield State finished second with a 622, and Salem State took third with a 631. Worcester State (671) placed in fifth, while MCLA (739) landed in eighth.
